Hi, I am new here. I found this forum while looking for a way to advance my website. It has a fishing forum and a webstore but I have only had 2 sales and no forum members for 7 months. I am looking for a way to get traffic to my site. Hopefully I will find it here. I am also open to other waysd of making money online as I would love to be able to quit my job and stay home to make money.

Hi Budfish, unfortunately your story is all too common. It's not that easy to earn a living from home with just a website. However, don't get discouraged. Once you learn and apply the SEO techniques that will get your website more publicity, you will see gradual income. In the meantime, have you thought of affiliate marketing? Many people find that they can be earning something from affiliate marketing while they learn the ropes for their own site and products. Personally, I've done so well with affiliate marketing that I'm having a hard time even getting motivated to learn all the time-consuming techniques needed to really promote a website well. Call me lazy, but I love being able to work just an hour or two a day and bring in a fairly decent income because the company I've partnered with does most of the work. Tula |
