It must be at least a year or more since Fendi invited me over. (I've been busier than the proverbial one-armed bill poster with an itch.) It's so good to find a well-run forum, tightly-moderated and offering such a low signal-to-noise ratio. More light than heat. More meat than feathers. I'm looking forward to being here. Who am I? I'm John Counsel, of Melbourne Australia, founder and CEO of The Profit Clinic, one of the internet's most respected (and oldest) free resource sites — actually, it's now a network of more than 30 sites, mostly still free. I post on a handful of high-quality forums — I steer clear of the bull-runs and pig-pens — and I'm an author, columnist, trainer, publisher and management consultant to the direct selling industry (not just network marketing). But don't just take my word. Here are a few comments about me by some well-known and trusted friends: “The Profit Clinic is the best MLM web site in the world.” — Kevin Wilke, NitroMarketing.com This guy [John Counsel] doesn’t just butcher all your favourite sacred MLM cows. He barbecues ‘em and serves ‘em up to you one slice at a time… and you LOVE it!” — John Milton Fogg, Author, The Greatest Networker in the World “I think you’re doing some of the most cutting-edge writing in the industry and want to make sure our readers get a regular dose. There are so many of your articles I’d like to share with them. As you know, I’ve been a fan of yours for some time.” — Editor-in-Chief, Upline Journal® John Counsel has taught me a TON about ethical and legal email marketing, and I always listen to his words of wisdom — and follow them profitably. Thanks, John. — Dr Mani, Author, ThinkWriteRetire.com “[The Profit Clinic] is, by far, one of the best [web sites] I have found… concepts are outstanding… treat yourself to one of the most exciting, content-filled sites you’ll ever experience.” — Heidi Perry, Editor/Publisher, HomeBusinessOnline.com “Dynamite, John. Absolutely wonderful stuff. Not that I’m surprised, mind you. Just very pleased to see such a considered and thoughtful approach to what is all too often seen as a thoughtless and inconsiderate industry.” — Paul Myers, PublisherTalkBizNews “John, your writing on Fourth Generation™ Thinking has been a major part of who I am and what I do in my network marketing business. Very profound.” — Cheryl Gonzalez, President, Distributor Rights Association “I’ve known John for years. Not only is he super-savvy regarding his own multi-faceted business, but he has a powerful grasp of every aspect of life and culture, and is generous with his knowledge. And wisdom. I’ve always been able to trust John Counsel implicitly. And that, on top of everything else, makes him one of the Internet’s most influential and valuable people.” — Judy Vorfeld, Owner, Office Support Services |

Welcome to the forum John! Very impressive introduction about yourself. It seems like you will have a lot to bring to the table and contribute to the forum. How do you like living in Australia? I love the accents. Always wanted to visit, but have never made it over. G'day mate!!! |

Thanks, KK ![]() Introductions are always a challenge for me. If I don't tell people enough about me, they sometimes feel like they've been mugged when they discover who I am. But then others feel that I'm bragging, which is understandable, but not intentional. Part of the problem is that I have Asperger's Syndrome, and Aspie's tend to have little idea of what value people place on the information they request from us. So we tend to just dump everything we know and let them choose what interests them. It's not about ego or attempting to impress or intimidate. It's just symptomatic of our condition. We soak up information and general knowledge like sponges. Many quiz winners on TV are Aspies, and most computer geeks seem to be as well. We're driven by a desire for the truth and the facts. It's about WHAT's right, not WHO's right, but normal people often misinterpret this as ego. Uh uh... ego is rarely an issue for us. (See? I'm even doing it here! *lol*) Enough! Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm enjoying my time here so far. John PS: I love living in Australia, and especially Melbourne. It's not hard, living in a city that's been voted "World's Most Liveable City" for 10 years straight. But, then, I've never lived in any other country, so I have no basis for comparison. But I enjoy visiting. |

Hi Jillian — and thanks. I'm having trouble logging into the forum, actually. Having to use a proxy site because of time-outs. I think there's a problem with my ISP because four computers on Mac and Windows platforms are ALL timing out on this site (and only this site). John |

Woohoo! ![]() Suddenly I can log in without timing out every time. Dunno what happened, but I'm not complaining. As soon as I catch up with what's been happening — and what's happening about special offers — I'll post the promised link to the free report download I mentioned about two weeks ago, before my ISP decided it didn't like this host for whatever reason. Yep... one thing about morons: they all use "blowfly" logic to drive their terminally-stupid behaviour. Blowfly Logic: Doing the same thing, over and over and over again, and expecting a different result. Named after typical blowfly behaviour of trying to batter its way through a glass window pane, usually until it dies of exhaustion or injury. Spammers like this one are not just abusers and criminals. They're morons. They ADVERTISE their stupidity!
