Default I'm a newbie here...

Hi, I'm Davina from South Carolina. I am a fulltime stay at home mommy to my two children Michael, 10 and Brittany who just turned seven. I also volunteer fulltime at their school. They keep me pretty busy with school and their extracurricular activities so thank goodness for work at home opps! I look forward to networking and getting some ideas from everyone here.

Hi Davina,

Welcome onboard!

Wow. Loved what you do - volunteer fulltime in school.

So what do you do from home?

Thank you. I love my volunteer work. It's a really good feeling to be one of the adults that these kids can count on. I have many roles in the school but mainly I am in the art room. I'm mainly the 'art lady', I keep a big bottle of ketchup for the kids and go around squirting ketchup for them so I'm the 'Ketchup Lady', on occasion I'm the 'Ice Cream Lady',the 'Donation Lady' I get lots of free stuff for the school, etc., a woman of many names I am. I'm the room mommy for both of my children's classes, PTO member, and I'm on the Strategic Arts Committee to integrate Art in the classroom. But wait...there's more...afterschool, I help coach my daughter's softball team, I'm the dugout mommy, and the raintree mommy. I just try my best not to smack my son's coach around for benching him so many times, he's 10, for pete's sake. I cheer for all of my son's classmates that play whenever I can. My children are always practicing or playing at opposite times so I'm at the park for 4 hours in the evening and a rush to get something else to eat because after playing they want a second dinner, we get home and I put them in bed. And then....

That's when I become....da da daaaa...Marketing Mommy....I own a website that offers home business opps. I'm very proud of them. I have a variety of ideas for home business, none of the investments are outrageous. I have one that is Free to signup, which has been really busy the last couple of days. It's my favorite. It's just really exciting to go to that site each day and there's like a million bazillion new people since yesterday. Okay it's not that many but it's always over a thousand and I just think that's really neat. It's the only one that you really can just set and basically forget. But of course I don't do that. I'm a lean, mean, marketing machine. I mainly deal with affiliate marketing but I have a retail audio books store too. But I love being able to be with my children and I know a lot of moms want to stay home with their children too so I named my site Mommy Marketing. I'm getting a new design done so that it will be all Mommified. That's one of my Davinaisms, you'll get those from time to time. But Dads can do it too.

I just started a new blog and my husband has been making fun of me because I talk about the one of the home biz opps and in the next one it's about my babies getting straight A's and the principle wanting me to golf clap for my son who was one of only 4 in his entire grade to get all A's. She said we should clap appropriately and that it wasn't a sporting event. As if! I yelled,'That's my baby!' I talk about taking my daughter to the mountains for her birthday. We love pigeon forge, TN. She wore her birthday hat the entire time we were there that she had gotten in school and we had front row seats to every show we went to because it was her birthday. So when you go there, wear your birthday hat. I just tell him it's My Blog and I'll Blog about what I want to. lol

Okay I think I just went on and on. Sorry about that. I just love my babies.

What a response! I'm overwhelmed.

It's great to hear you are an all-rounder at school as well. You sure filled us with some humor here...

Glad that you are doing what you are doing.

I wish your PIPS business all the best.

When we got home from school today, my son told me that one of his teachers told him to tell me that he must get his humor from me because he likes being the class clown and is always funny. They are doing a talent show in the Spring Carnival this month. Of course he's doing stand up comedy. lol Have you seen that comedian Jeff Dunham, Spark of Insanity. OMG that is so funny. One of my girlfriends insisted I had to watch that. Totally hilarious. That akmed the dead terrorist dummy he does, makes tears come out of my eyes. I was laughing so hard. It reminded me of that story on that documentary The Secret. The one where the lady has cancer and she decides she not going to have anything negative in her life and she only watches comedies. Okay, I'm going to stop there, I'll go on and on and on...

Hi Davina,

Welcome on board.

I understand how you feel. Working at home is really a huge blessing because it gives us more time with our family and loved ones. For me I won't go back to being an employee anymore (no offend to employees here). People should be just open-minded about home biz opps and earning money online.

You're such a busy mom too. Hope you manage you time pretty well. I had the same difficulties at the beginning but everything just went well.

Cheers,
Carmen
