I have worked in retail for the last two years and I want something else but not sure what. I really would like to work from home but do not know where to start or what is lagit. Would someone please help me?

First you need to look at what your interested in.
Are you trying to learn something new, or are you trying to sell stuff since you were in retail?
Do you want a home based business or do you want to find another way to make income online; such as ebay, affiliate marketing, freelance etc?

There are so many options...
So let us know exactly what you like to do as an individual and I'm sure we can point you in the right direction.

One thing though read all details of everything you look at before paying for it. There is so much free information on the internet so take advantage of it, okay? Wait until you deep down feel that something is worth paying for and you have gotten all of the free information that you can possibly get.

What kind of income are you looking to make online?
Is this income to supplement another income?
What is your reason for wanting to work online rather than a "regular" job?
What kind of budget do you have to get started?
Do you have sales experience?
What is the extent of your online experience?

Having been an experienced entrepreneur- I sat down and established a set of guidelines for me to consider in a networking marketing opportunity. I have owned and run more traditional businesses for over 20 years- but I see the real power in helping others succeed and developing residual income from those you helped teach.

My own criteria were:

I had to believe in the product.
I wanted a higher than typical compensation plan in terms of per sale income
