I usually do 600px or 700px for page width. So I know it will fix in every browser.

Whatever size you do, make sure it's easily divisible by a variety of ways. This is why 960px is a solid standard to follow right now for 1024x768 displays. |

800px as a standard size is going going gone.......... Browser Display Statistics This is always a good resource and this one illustrates just how 800px is now near non-existent. Also with fluid css layouts now becoming more the norm and easier to implement cross browser 1024 width is the minimum you should be setting up for, and lets face it thats leaves a hell of a lot more space to get more content in!! |
