At one point in the history of this world, this paper instrument we call 'money' never existed. Somewhere, somehow this negotiable instrument was created to exchange for goods and services. It's a part of our world today and we all need some just to have some necessities in life, like food, clothing and shelter.

If we choose to want a fuller life, than money will have to be a apart of that. For example, if we want and desire to travel to other countries then we must have more money to do this. With those travels we gather experience of traveling to other countries and learning the cultures of those places. We would also meet people we would not otherwise meet in our lifetime. This is the true definition of being rich because rich means an abundance of something. When traveling we gather an abundance of knowledge. The more knowledge we gather in our lifetime and apply that knowledge we become richer and lead a more fuller life.

One way to tell what you think about money is to look at how it works (or doesn't work) in your life.

I was talking with a woman on the phone today who is full of fear and poverty consciousness. Everything must be free. Good people don't charge money for their services. She didn't even think she could charge for the services she wanted to provide.

I imagine she lives hand to mouth, and from the way she was communicating, doesn't think very highly of herself.

She actually helped me think about how to improve some areas in my life, and to raise the types of thinking I do about myself in relation to money (and time, another mysterious commodity). I'm better in this area than I used to be, but since I'm not a millionaire (yet!) I've still got growing to do.
