I just wanted to share some things for all the moms (or dads) of the group about being a full-time work from home mom. First of all, when I first started working online, I viewed it as one of those things that seemed more like a dream than a reality. I never really believed that I could earn a full time income from home. That was mistake #1. When I finally determined what I wanted to do, and realized that I could do it well enough to earn an income from it, I ran with that one though. I started writing for everything that would let me, and before long, I was earning what I made outside the home. Now, I'm earning almost twice as much as I did with my last job, only my writing business is not so much a job as a passion. Viewing my online work as a job was mistake #2. It should never feel like a job, it should be something that you enjoy, something that you are so passionate about that it oozes out of every pore. My #3 mistake was being so afraid of failure that I let it keep me bonded for such a long time. I was terrified to go after writing jobs because I didn't believe that my writing was up to par. Now, looking back, I have decided that I could have made much more money in the first few months, had I not been so afraid of doing it. My point here is that you can earn an income from home. Believe me, if I can make it work, then anyone can. I spent so much time wishing that I could be one of those people who actually made money at home that I missed it completely when it started happening ![]() Don't give up on your dreams of being a work from home mom. Really, if I can do it then I completely believe that you can do it too. And if I can help you to do it then just let me know. It is my dream now to continue to earn more each month, until I just absolutely lose track of how much I'm making No, seriously, my new goal is to help others to realize their dreams of working from home. |

I agree with you. Never give up. If you have never failed at anything, then you have never tried (as the old saying goes). Where would we be had it not have been for perseverance? Everyone needs to learn to pick themselves up move forward, today is a new day! I give kudo's to what you said about finding something you enjoy, and using it in your business ventures. It becomes a win win adventure

I like how you said it oozes out of your pores. I say when you can't sleep at night because you are thinking about what you can do next and how exciting it is, than you know you love what you do. I have never had this problem before, but lot of night I can't sleep because I am just overloaded with all these ideas that just come to me at that exact time I am ready to sleep. Thanks goodness my company has something to help me with that. LOL

Davina, your hubby has every right to be negative. But he should have nothing to lose since you'll be at home and in school taking care of the kids anyways. => Starting A Home Business Tips

You would think that, but noooo....he's fine now. Now it's the I don't give the kids any space, I need to let go some, he doesn't like that I don't just drop them off at birthday parties. These are my babies, I'm not leaving them to whatever icky, horrible, terrible thing that might befall them in my absence. He will look around and say,"Do you see any other moms here?" But I care not. I just say that my children aren't 30 and that they depend on me to keep them safe. My son hates that I make him go to the women's bathroom when we are out and my husband isn't with us but, I tell him he can go to the men's bathroom alone when he's 30. I just basically tell them that they can do everything when they are 30. lol Look at me, just going on and on. I guess you can tell....I'm a talker...typer...
