Default Planning your time?

Everyone knows that to be successful at something you need to give it time. Why is it so hard for most people-- including myself to plan and schedule my time for the maximum benefit?

I don't think that we actually realize how valuable our time is. It's one of the few free things left in the world, and people tend to take advantage or neglect something that's free. Also, I think sometimes we all think that we have to get so much done, that we become oblivious to time scheduling. I do it everyday. It doesn't matter how much time that I set aside for business, it seems that something always comes up that seems more important, and although sometimes it is more important, many times it's not.

I understand what you meant... it is difficult for you to plan your time maybe because you have another responsabilities which suddenly appear to be done.. i recomend you to consider a list of things that make you out of your schedule and included into the list like a backup plan.

Time is definitely the most precious asset that we have. I think it is the most important aspect of running a successful enterprise.

A few tips, I received from mentors and success coaches that has assisted me.

1.) Before you go to sleep, list 6 items/tasks in order of importance that need to be completed in your business the next day. (This way your mind can work on it while you sleep.) When checking off your list the following day, do not move on to Item #2, until Item #1 is completed.

2.) Time-Blocking - keep a cal. and start evaluating your time in 15-minute segments. See if there are certain tasks that can be delegated.

3.) What are your income producing tasks for your business. List them and focus on them.

4.) Focused Time Blocks are more productive that scattered time slots.

I hope this helps. Have a fantastic productive day!

Those are very nice tips Ani. I especially like the fourth one about the time blocks. That makes so much sense. Thank you for sharing.

I have actually begun to use your time-block system, Ani, and I must say, I do seem to be getting more done on a daily basis.
