I always thought it would be so cool to own a travel company. I've seen several on the internet - I just didn't know if they were really legit. Global Travel, I think, is the one that I was thinking about. Has anyone had any experiences with them?

Heya Paul,

First off, you can call me Tim.

Secondly, my travel company is based in America, yes. I've enjoyed it a great deal. I'm coming up on my first year in the travel industry in November. Wow, time flies... and sometimes you really are having fun.

How long have you been in the travel industry, Paul?

vabeaty - I haven't personally had experience with Global Travel but a group of my friends chose to align themselves with that company. They signed up and were cheated out of their money.

They waited over a month to receive their starter kit and never did get it. They called the company and inquired about it. The company basically told that them they should have spoken up sooner (they should have) but where the company deviated from good business was when they told my friends the wouldn't get their money back.

Their excuse was that they should have spoken up sooner and dealt with it so since they didn't they weren't going to get their money back. So my friends turned them in to the better business bureau.

My personal recommendation? Don't take the risk.

A company that is so determined to keep a few dollars that they'll treat people like that, their money makers no less, isn't acceptable in my book.

I've only had experience with YTB (Your Travel Biz), if you'd like to hear more, vabeaty, let me know. I'd be happy to chat with you.

I never thought of signs of encouragement on my walls but I know you are right. I used to weigh 260 lbs. I wanted to lose weight. I put a sign on my living room wall where I could see it every day and started working out doing exercises. When I didn't feel like it I would see that sign and get up and exercise. I now weigh 180 and went down to 156. I had to put some back on I was too thin I am 6 feet tall and that was to small. any way the sign simple said JUST DO IT

I never really thought of signs either. What really works with me, is the people I'm associated with. They offer such enthusiasm and support. I have found that when I'm surrounded by positive thinking people, it really does help!

Yeah... how about not eating too much? Can we have that sign on the dining table...?

It's easy to lose weight if you focus but a mouth-watering meal is irresistible... LOL!

Fendi- You really touched on a subject that I truly believe in. You must keep those visualization tools around you always. You become what you think.

A great quote. You sure made my day, especially the fact that 'success leaves clues' something I have always observed, yet never put to words. I see the clues everywhere. For every successful person, you can somehow see what they did/do right. Success leaves clues, for certain. If we follow these clues, then we might just be as successful.

It is so good to hear from other people that put there goals up. I keep mine in my computer, but refer to it often-as my goals change. When I actually get an office, mine is just a 4x4 square in my kids playroom. I will put up a cork board with pictures and things. Right now when I need inspiration I can look up above my desk and see our family pictures. That is why I do this. My family!!
