Default Lost my site

I would not recommend dot5hosting. a server crashed and my site (www.everylist.com) was wiped.

being a dumb@ss, I have no backups :(

several members here posted their site on my directory, so now those listings are gone.

I will see what I can do to get my site back up. Probably go with a different host and use a different program (script).

You can ask Google for a backup. They have all the backups of the sites.
My SEO has done this for my friend.

pkyi, bad news indeed. I wish you luck.

I'm trying to get a reliable reseller hosting. Wondering if anyone's interested to be setup?

Of the site (files) or of the database too?

I put professional clients who need hosting on the servers operated by AMS Computer Services, Inc. They have a starter plan for $5.99 per month.

I have been working with these people for about 10 years. During this time there have been a few times when a file became corrupted or a MySQL database crashed. They make nightly backups so I can email them and ask them to re-install the database (or even a single file) from any given date in the past.

I'm not an affiliate and I'm not a re-seller. I feel that if for some reason a client became unhappy with their hosting -- I don't want them thinking they are hosted there simply because I make a few dollars off of them.

Best Regards,
Steve MacLellan

There are a lot of ways to do it. You can back up important files to a CD on your computer, or put them on an external drive. If you're using a computer with Windows on it, there is a utility to help you make back-up and you can combine its use with the Schedule manager to perform back-ups at night while you're not using the computer.

I don't care for Windows back-up and found it to be un-reliable. I had a lot of problems with it corrupting files.

If you want to back up websites, it depends on the type of hosting account you have as to how this can be done. Linux hosting packages that use Cpanel have a utility in the control panel for making backups of the entire site.

You lost me, Steve. I'm not cyber-sophisticated. My only concern would be for the stories I've written, so I just print a copy. Also, I bought a device that plugs into a USB port. It has memory that I can load onto it (don't remember how) and then plug into another computer and upload.
