I used to have the mindset that money was the root of all evil, and hated it because of that. At some point I realized that it's not the money itself, but the people who react to it. Everyone does so differently, but the only ones you hear about are the ones who rob banks or break into houses.
You don't hear about the people who give generously to charity, help the homeless in their hometowns, go on missions to third world countries to share food, medicine, toys and love. All possible, because of money!
So it really comes down to the person, I think. To me, it is very important. I grew up in a family that was poor throughout my childhood, and though we never went hungry or missed out on Christmas or birthdays, there were many times where there just wasn't enough money to go around. As a result, I'm sort of stingy... I feel that there is no such thing as "too much money", because one can never be too prepared.
