Yes, it is a scam. It is a variation of the Nigerian Letter Scam. In Canada, our police are often referred to as the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police). Here is an article about it on the RCMP website:

I've seen the same letter in about six different versions.

Yep! This is definitely a scam.I get a different variation of the same letter almost every week.

I am happy to know this information. I get many of these emails, in every email account I have at that. I am so happy that I never paid any attention to them. Thanks for the information.

Classic nigerian scam. Delete. Forget.

I get at least two or three of these a week, and in so many different versions. You'd think these people have better things to do than to send millions of emails out like this. I actually wonder how many people have sent them their information?

Quite a few. You would be surprised.
The reason why the scammers keep sending these emails is because they are getting some successes.

What a sad way for people to make their money. I much prefer the legitimate and legal way, although it might not pay as much or as quickly, at least I don't have trouble sleeping at night.

I get them to...these people seem to be getting a little more clever in their ways to trick you into thinking it's a legitemate deal.
