Default Paid to read scams

I just wondered if anyone had been ripped off by paid to read sites. I did when I first started working online, by a couple of them actually. I know it's not really a "business" to get paid to read emails and such, but I think alot of people who are just starting out may tend to do this type of thing, because it seems like the easiest way to make money at first. I just wanted to let those people know to be very careful when you sign up for these sites. They're not always honest, and you may spend alot of precious time filling out offers and reading their emails only to find that you can't get paid. Be sure that you can find their contact information easily, including their physical address and phone number.

I was scamed by many companies.
I worked for the for more than a year and had a nice downline also.
But none of them paid me but vanished.

That's along the lines of the problem that I had. I though maybe it was just me, but I had heard of a few sites that were less than legitimate.

Even if there are sites which are legitimate, they pay you peanuts so why bother?

It's true that you can't make a decent income with them, however, when I first started working online, I used a couple of them to make enough money to start my website. I still use them now, mostly for "blowing" money, meaning that what little I do make off them, I can spend on whatever I want. It's just a little bit of fun for me, and a little extra money for trivial things.

Vanessa, you are a patient lady in this aspect... I'd rather blow money on an ad and get it back 2 fold than doing that. But that's me.

When I first started working online, paid to read programs were the way that I made enough money to start my website. It wasn't much, but it was enough to pay my hosting fees, and it didn't come out of pocket. I don't do them now, I really don't have the time to, but they were helpful back then.

I have done a few survey sites that do not take tons of my time and I get a check from time to time. I got one to day for $15.00 and it took me 10 min I have gotten a few $50 checks for 20 min. I have never done the pay to read ones they just do not seem to be worth it. The ones that pay me good are ones that I do not have to try to get anyone else to join and they are not offer sites. You know the ones fill out these offers and get $10 those I see as a waste of my time.

I signed up for a few survey sites a while ago, but I never found any that actually paid. Most were for points that you could redeem for prizes, etc. I have heard of people making money doing surveys, but I just never found one that pays very well.
