Is this opportunity a scam?
I received information from Vindale Research regarding taking surveys for income. Has anyone heard anything about this company? Are they legitimate or do they just want to send me thousands of advertisings by email a day? I would appreciate any info. Thanks

Re: Is this opportunity a scam?
I wasn't sure, so I went to the site. It looks to me like a "paid to" site. Sort of like the paid emails, you sign up for offers, most of which you have to have a credit card for, and then they give you whatever the sponser fee is for signing up. I don't have any experience with them, but there are some in THB that do paid surveys. Anyone else?

Re: Is this opportunity a scam?
I haven't heard of this particular company. However, I have tried this sort of thing with some others and started getting a ton of advertising (mostly spam) from other companies.
Also, as vabeaty said, they usually want your credit card and you have to participate in offers.
This sort of thing "turns me off". I guess there are legitimate companies if you are willing to invest the time to find them.

I tried Vindale. It takes too much of the "free" offers to earn any money! Try something else.

Re: Is this opportunity a scam?
As someone who has worked extensively in the GPT (get paid to) industry over the past 3 years, I can tell you that there are many legitimate paid survey sites (I am in fact posting one in the ad section after this post)
Vindale research, however, is not one of them. They have numerous complaints against them. To find real paying programs you can go to a site called GPT Boycott and see which ones are legit. There is a directory on there of seal of approval paying sites and a directory of boycotted sites.
I hope this helps

Re: Is this opportunity a scam?
I havent heard of this particular company, but does seem like a "get paid to" site. Most sites like to require you to have a credit/debit card and you get paid by participating in the sponsored offers. Just to Warn you, if this is something that you are passionate about. keep records of all the sponsered links that you enroll in. and be sure to get all contact information. Once you enroll and you do not cancel they WILL charge you the standard Montly rate. Hope this is helpful. TYBTI

Since an above user already mentioned that Vindale might not be aboveboard, I'm just going to echo that there are a lot of legitimate survey = $$ sites, though not necessarily as a source of steady income. Someone more experienced with GPT business is probably best qualified, but about the most secure opportunity you can get is to sign up for market research surveys, medical testing (!!) or other such things. They don't happen regularly, but they're easy money for more than your likely hourly rate. Just don't mention that you work in marketing or advertising (ever!!!)

Re: Is this opportunity a scam?
The general rule for anything to do with surveys is to treat it with a healthy dose of scepticism - until it proves itself genuine. Their business model of 'get paid to' is extremely suspcious. There are very few legitimate surveys you can earn anything from. Most of them always look genuine and attractive - but there is always a catch in the fine print. There are definitely better ways to earn money - if you are willing to invest the necessary effort than 'getting paid to take surveys' on products you have probably never used or even heard of.

Re: Is this opportunity a scam?
I did a couple of surveys for Vindale a couple of years ago, and they did pay, but it was not really worth it.
