I been learning all about (subject lines) this past week, and I was just wondering if you folks could share your favorite subject line strategy for sending out E-mail newsletters .I`ve heard that some people disguise their content by using vague subject lines(does this personally annoy you?) I`ve also heard that sometimes it`s a good idea to use the same subject line everytime..For example XYZ Newsletters,Issue 11... where only the issue number changes each time you send out a new email. With all you experts in here, there`sgotta be some really good secrets behind using (subjectlines) to your advantage. So come on guys...Let`s show off a little today: |

I am not sure where you got the advice or what context it was given in, but I would disagree. The subject line "XYZ Newsletters,Issue 11" is a terrible headline to use UNLESS you have developed a reputation for delivering amazing content that your readers can't wait to read. Think about it... The headline MUST grab the readers attention and get them to click. You are fighting for what limited attention your receivers have available. I would recommend recommend checking out this site: http://www.hardtofindads.com If you want to write effective headlines, model yours after the headlines of the masters. |
