With all the newbies here, I'm wondering if anyone has been involved in more than one business or if this is your first home business experience.

Some successful online entrepreneurs do have multiple sites and streams of income. I would suggest mastering one site first and then add some as you go along (if that's what you want to do). Many Times you can add a business that is related to the first business, so that they compliment each other. I for instance am an affiliate of an online lead store that sells leads pretty cheaply (99 cents for the first 100). When people join my ALLXCLUB site and become part of my down line on that and they want to experiment marketing with buying leads I refer them to my affiliate site in the lead buying program. If those leads work for them and they stick with that and purchase another 100 at the market price of $1.00 per lead, I them make money on that and everyone they sign up in turn. The beauty of that for me is that it compliments my main business.

Hi, I have one main website, but recently through a group of fantastic mentors, I am started a wordpress blog for my niche product. I strongly believe in having multiple streams of income. However, Jeff Cashman makes an excellent point when he recommends mastering one prior to venturing off to others. Take care, Margie Franklin, The Home Biz Diva |

I've dabbled in a few, but they haven't been successful. I'm working on changing that by learning new stuff with this forum! |

Multiple streams of income has always been one of the advantages of having a home based business, especially if it's main focus is online. Unfortunately, this often leads beginners into a fray of losing propositions because they still haven't mastered the marketing techniques they plan to use. In fact, it's one of the reasons why people jump from one business to another... they think it's the business... or the product. And sometimes it is. So that's where to start. Make sure the company is worth your trouble. Make sure the product has wide appeal to the target market. Once you've done that, I would then look at the company's own marketing campaign. Do they help their Affiliates? Or do they in fact, work against them? Some companies even make most of their money off the backs of their Affiliates! Steer clear. I guess what I'm saying is if you have only one company... no problem... as long as it's a good one. ![]() Tula |
