Forum Posting Rules Aware

I've seen quite a great nos of newbies online marketers commiting this mistake while actively promoting products or sites.

These are some key pointers when doing forum posting

-> Most forums have their posting rules and doesn't allow affiliate links in posting. 90% of forums I've seen allows affiliate/promo links only in your signature.

(hint- signature are usually found in profile or account area. look for edit profile or edit signature link. and dont throw in a whole salespage into the sig file area, there are usually charaters limits like 255 depending on forums setting)

-> Quality Forums are not links dump to throw promo links everywhere, look out for particular section where promo ads and blatant affiliate links are allow and post ads only in those section.

-> Include avatar or profile images will make your post easier to locate by users and yourself. Prepare a jpg avatar of size 80x80 pixel and lower than 20kb will ensure a good chance of image being accepted by 90% of forums that allows avatar upload.

-> When posting, write in short sentence and paragraph. the most unreadable posting are one huge chunk of text with no breaks.

Hope by sharing this would help those starting out avoid the pitfalls when participating in forums.

I've been wanting to do such a post.

We are not kind of very strict here if you are a regular
contributor.

Note. I mentioned contributor meaning you contribute
to the discussions and not merely here for backlinks or
getting traffic to websites (well, obviously you will
achieve that when you are a contributor)

Btw, you is in general all forum members not specific
to any member.

Hey great to be able to mingle with Vanessa and Fendi here.

Just came back from a 14 days trip to Alanta and Las Vegas..
attended the launch of a online business opportunity at Alanta before doing some shopping at Vegas.

Couldn't miss the slot machine in Vegas waiting to swallow up your cold hard cash... ended up losing some cash there.. lol.

guess its better to just stick to my current online system to rake in the cash..

Hence did not login to forum for the past weeks.

How funny you mention long post with no breaks. I just past two interesting topics but they were way too long and bunched up.
There were some interesting post speaking of a business opportunity with no signature link.

It hasn't been strict up until now, but things are going to have to change. We simply can not allow people to use this forum to market business opportunities. Especially in the wrong sections.

We are going to begin deleting these kinds of posts. This forum is going to become a place to discuss home business opportunities as well as marketing methods and tactics.

In order to turn this into a place worth visiting, we need to be more strict. Spam will not be tolerated.

That's just the thing Saan. If you are serious about contributing valuable information to a forum, you will "lurk" for a while. Find out what posting style is acceptable in a forum before posting. Also, you will read the rules. I feel anyone who doesn't do that first was only in the forum to spam in the first place.
