I am really a dunce when it comes to this. I just started putting together websites (copy paste) no html. I wish to learn html in near future,however first I would like to know more about how to get myself on google search. I have read and heard about ppc. I am not ready to take that risk financially. Like someone said if you don't know what your doing it can cost you. I know that when I post blogs my blogs come up in google. Also I have found my CL ads come up on google. The only problem is that they would have to know to search the wah list. How can I get my website to come up under work at home? Do I need to type work at home somewhere on my site? And if it does need to be on my site does it matter where? Home page ect. This may be really simple to some but I am really clueless. I realize that google has a ton of information on there webpage, however I get lost when termonolgy is used that I am not familiar with.

Also I would like to get it to come up in yahoo search and so on. Do the same rules apply? Who is really good at this?

What is the name of your website? If you want your get your site ranked in the search engines for “work at home” Then it would be best if you name your site “Work From Home” This is what we call a keyword. Now before I go any further you have to know that this is a very hard keyword to get into. I just checked the results from google and I came up with 220,000,000 results. This is a huge number and there is heaps of competition. “This is a very very hard keyword to rank high in the search engines for”


To help us help you could you tell us your website address. I would just like to check if you are ranked with google for starters. Then we will go from there.

DMOZ is the site that most crawlers go to. Search for that and submit your URL. You can also personally submit your site to Google and Yahoo and others.

Mary why not get your own domain name
and hosting? It'll be better than a free web
host.

the term is SEO or search engine optimization, tough competition for that keyword but it is not hard to rank to that term if the budget is not a problem.
