Hi Harry

Welcome to THB.

Well if you are talking about your domain name, then you cannot alter it at all. The only thing you can do is register a new one.

Hi Harry and welcome to THB I'm sorry I can't offer you any advice, except what Paul has already said. You can shrink the url when you are linking to it by just putting in whatever you want the link to say, and then the url is hidden in that link. I'm not sure if that helps you any

There is a site that shrinks your links but I don't know about domain names. I won't give you the link but it is called freezelink. Hope this helps

Tinyurl is better choice, but your own domain name will not be published anywhere. So, take a choice considering this.

Harry, here's a solution for you.

Buy a new shorter nicer domain name. You can get that from Godaddy or Namecheap.

Use their forward URL feature to mask your exisiting ugly domain and that's it. Use the new domain to feature your site everytime.

It'll only cost you around $9 to last a year.

Hi,
It’s not a big problem I know site called dwarfURL - Make your long URL's a lot smaller with dwarfURL's short URL service! that provides to make long url in to a small url. It's absolutely free to use, and your newly created link will never expire. Hope this will help you. All the best

with vabeaty! The contributions and help from forum members is outstanding!

My advice would be the same as Fendi. Go to godaddy.com and register a new/shorter name. they have a feature that you can use to just start typing in your name choices to check their availability. Once you find one you like (and is available) you just make the purchase for around $9.95 yr. Once you have your new domain name, you can then forward it to your old/long domain name. It's really neat! I hope we have helped you.
