I think it all depends on who you are and what you like. What someone else is interested in may not be of interest to you so you probably wouldn't do as good.

First you have to think about if you are looking to become a webmaster and building your own website and using your content to sell your own product or being an affiliate for someone else. Are you looking for a home-based business, maybe you would like to sell items on ebay. It all depends on what you enjoy.

If you are looking for a home-based business you would have to make sure its something that you would use or purchase even if you weren't getting paid to do so, that way you are a little more excited to share with someone else since you truly believe in the product or service. Then it won't seem like you are just pushing something on someone because you get paid for it.

The same goes for being an affiliate or webmaster, it would probably be harder for you to write about something that you don't believe in or don't know about it so again you would have to get involved in something that interests you.

Basically it all comes down to you, people can show you a thousand opportunities and they could all be working for them, but you can get involved and not do as well because you don't have the same passion for the product or service as they do. So although compensation plans are important the most important thing in my opinion is that you find something that you have passion for, something you really enjoy.
That can also save you a lot of money in the long run...

I agree. I got started a few months ago with so many things at once that I didn't have enough time for any of them. Now that I focus mainly on one thing, I'm making much more and I'm not near as stressed out

I have never worked with business opps, but I have worked with affiliate programs, adsense, etc. and think these are good types of things to earn money from.

I agree and if done correctly it can be the easiest money you will ever make, but there are things you will need to learn just like any business. The beauty of affiliate marketing is you don’t have to deal with the customers if you don’t want to. Just send your traffic to your affiliate site and if they buy something you get your commission and the company takes care of the rest. “sounds easy but beleave me there's more to it than that”
