I think this a very important question that is on the minds of all new, and even experienced people. The first thing that one must completely understand about this business, just like any other business, is that the main focus is selling yourself. If people like you they will buy from you, if they desire what you offer. Or if they need the product or service your "opportunity" provides. I have a whole other thread on this forum called "The Swap and Drop Method". If you want to read about relationship building read that thread. So just how do you pick a company? The Company must have a product or service that you really love or really believe in. If you really love using certain nutritional products, find a company that has quality products. Maybe you strongly believe in legal insurance and its benefits. There is a great company for that. I know a gal that that loves home parties and loves make up. Can you guess what she does? Because she loves what she does, she is very successful. I love people and I love making them smile. I also love helping people in all sorts of different businesses have success. Once you decide on the company you like, start searching for a competent sponsor. Make sure you have a strong up line. This is very important. Finally, and most important make a commitment to yourself to treat the business as a business. Remember, don't get too hung up on finding the perfect company. I am happy to share my experience. It good for me to talk about it and hopefull it will help someone. It took me a long time to learn that I am what I am selling. You can test yourself by replaying conversations you have with people. How long did you talk about your business? If it was over 5% of the time you are in trouble. How long did you talk about yourself? again over 5% TROUBLE! What should you talk about? Whatever it takes to make a friend! Let people know you are a compassionate human being instead of a talking pitchbook! |

Its all about presenting ourselves in such a way that people want to be around us. People don't want to be around someone pitching them and certainly don't want to become that person! |

I've heard of this concept before, but I can't think of the name for it right now. I have even read another thread here in the forum where it was talking about selling yourself instead of a "product", because usually 9 times out of 10 if the person likes you then they will buy the product. Of course that is if you've done a good job of selling the product, or I mean yourself. |

I like this phrase "If people like you they will buy from you". This is not just applicable in Networking marketing-MLM. In all fields of work or business, you need to be friendly and maintain a good smile. This is the first step to attract clients.
