| G'day gang ![]() Here we go again… When will some people in network marketing learn that the fastest way to get your Facebook account terminated for TOS abuse is to claim that your MLM company is about to be endorsed and marketed by Facebook? Here's the latest piece of brain-dead lunacy to arrive in my inbox. (It gives new meaning to the term "headbutt".) ![]() Quote:
So there you go, folks. Go get yourself a frontal lobotomy (or total cranial excision), then rush to join this guy's efusjon team — before Facebook trashes your hopes and dreams forever. Dumb — and dumber. Cringe factor: 5/10 John Last edited by REALnetworkmarketing; 07-01-2011 at 09:03 PM. |

This may be a stupid question, but what does all this mean?

Okay… here’s the official word from the horse’s mouth: Facebook itself… Quote:

| It's not a stupid question. What it means is simple — if you don't understand the warning, you're in danger of falling for the scam. 1. I received a broadcast message from an efusjon rep, via ViralURL (a well-known traffic exchange), claiming that Facebook was about to join forces with efusjon to promote and market it. 2. He claimed that this was in the form of a new "club" called "efusjon" and gave the link to the club's home page — which was a page showing that efusjon was about to begin using Facebook to help members build their efusjon businesses. 3. His claim is false — but whether he's just an idiot, a newbie or a con artist is hard to tell. I suspect he's possible all three, and has just screwed up the company's plans to show its reps how to use Facebook for lead generation (which is fine — but his promotion of it is a blatant lie and an abuse of Facebooks Terms of Service). 4. There will be people with little or no experience, who are desperate to earn extra income, who'll take his claims at face value and end up in trouble... including losing their Facebook accounts, losing their email accounts and possibly losing their Internet access accounts. 5. NONE of this stupidity helps network marketing. It just creates more aggravation and discredit for all of us. 6. If you can't understand this, you could be one of those people. Time to get your head out of the sand an learn more so you can protect yourself against this kind of high-risk nonsense. John Last edited by REALnetworkmarketing; 07-01-2011 at 09:04 PM. |

I was wondering about this. I did receive a lot of message from people about it. I did not like the way they tried to make it look like Facebook was a part of it. I do not think Facebook wants to be involved in MLM truthfully. I have noticed some of the the people profiles who were advertising EFUSJON are no long on Facebook. Thanks for clearing this up John:-) |

You add a social network to mlm and people will actually fall for it. How lame. That really puts a bad taste in my mouth. I have even seen seasoned mlm'ers promotion this! Facebook, haha, that is hilarious!

First of all.. eFusjon is more of a company trying to market in a way a viral video is passed on. Another thing.. the drinks are really good. People join the club just to have the drinks.. not everyone attempts to "pay it forward." People who do end up spreading the word to 3, and their 3 spreading to three, etc.. do get paid. Here's the truth. A regular energy drink costs $3-4. It's full of a bunch of things not healthy for you. For $120 you get a total of 48 shipped each month. That's $2.50 per can. Instead of $192 for 48 cans, you only spend $120 + shipping and handling. So if you decide not to spread the word, you still get a great energy drink at a great price delivered conveniently to your door. It's no scam.. It's a real energy drink, that tastes really good, made with natural ingredients.. I love this stuff.. I wish I could get more than 48 in a month, because I have about 2 a day. look me up on youtube if you want to hear me ramble more efusjoneclub - but as for now, I'm done - peace.

efusjoneclub, Your reply is a classic example of why so many people dislike network marketing and avoid the people who promote it. This kind of "grab every opening to promote your product/opportunity at all costs" attitude does more harm than good to you and your business — and reflects badly on the rest of us. Learn to let go of your fear of loss. You'll find success comes much easier to you when you do. John PS: An afterthought… you say you wish you could buy more than 48 cans/bottles a month so you can drink them. If you could, and all your downline members were doing the same, do you realize that it would be illegal in most countries for the company to pay any of you bonuses on your personal consumption? I suspect that you'll find that this is the reason for the limit on how much you can buy for personal use. Fines for individuals breaking these laws in Australia start at AU$110,000 per offense (that's each person you recruit!). For the company, the minimum fine would be AU$1,100,000 per offense (that is, for each distributor). Can you see now why this kind of behaviour, based on ignorance of the law, can sink MLM companies? It's hard to legislate against stupidity, but they have to at least be seen to be trying.
