Server #2 (Replication Server):

I personally don’t use RAID in our 2 server setup it is not necessary.

The redundancy is handled by the replication server; this provides an immediate failover which RAID obviously cannot provide.


Just to give you an idea of possible profit margin off this 2 server setup:
500GB / 25GB = 20 user accounts * $100 month = $2000 a month

• Note, initial number of client access licenses that come with this quote are 20
• There is not limit to how many computers can be backed up to a single user account.


Your total startup cost for this 2 server setup would be:

$2550 and $800 a month thereafter


If you would prefer to stay with a single server and RAID 1 configuration then total startup cost would be:

$2350 and $600 a month thereafter

But this would cause downtime in the event of hard drive failure.
