That is the very question everyone tends to ask themselves when starting a business! "Do I need a lawyer?" The answer is probably yes but the realistic side of things may not allow your budget to have one during the crucial starting stages of your business. What alternatives are there for a lawyer? The best alternatives come in the form of books and kits that provide insight on contracts and legal agreements which will be needed to make sure your daily business operations are in conjunction with the law! Even if you do not have the money to pay for a lawyer, try and get as much free advice as possible. Go as far as calling a lawyer and picking his head until he tells you he must attend to paying clients. Free advice is great and best of all there is no dollar sign attatched!

yep, you can always pick up a book and read it, especially if your business needs it and you cant afford a lawyer.

I would wait until I got into some trouble to get a lawyer, but make sure you have one that you would be looking into hooking up with.

Yeah but even if you did have a lawyer the person would still prepare weeks ahead of you way before you even found out that you were getting sued. So it doesn't make much of a difference.

i recommend you not just searching from books... perhaps a friend of yours has a friend who is a lawyer and you can make an apointment with. Make sure that you have all the questions you want to know in mind |
