Default EasyPABX

I came across this a while ago http://easypabx.com/Default.aspx

it is a free software product to have installed on a server in a datacenter, with full easy to use control panel you can start selling Hosted PBX services.

For those of you who do not know what that is, have a you ever called a large corporation and got an automated system? Well that press one, press two stuff is called PBX.

With hosted PBX technology, it saves a company thousands to outsource the service too you, but with this system it does not cost you much at all to get started... $300 a month for a decent server and you are on your way to selling hosted PBX services, with prices ranging from $20 - $100 a month per client, it is a promising business.

We eventually plan to get into this ourselves, as we are currently a client of another company that does this.

Asterix is another one well, I say another one - its the market leader in open source PBX and VoIP telephony. EasyPBX is good but has been none to be very limited in features compared to Asterix.

Asterix @ Home would be the next best thing to EasyPBX as its simple and designed to work on a more user friendly basis. But both are very good and useful applications

EasyPabx is asterisk just with a control panel built around it. And provides 3rd party solution.

Asterix at home does not cover the details needed for selling hosted PBX services. Its main intention was what the name applies Asterisk @ home.

Meant for an inhouse PBX system

EasyPabx is designed so your clients can control their own PBX settings etc.

EasyPBX has ALOT of asterix functionality stripped from it to make it simple to use, and a cut down control panel...

Definitly sounds like good business, how many clients can you put on the $300 server? of course you still have to count advertising costs for the service etc. which would probably be more than the server cost.
