Post How to Spot Work at Home Scam

honestly, I have been scammed/ ripped off once the first time i ventured into online business. That's bad.

Here are some lists.

1. Asking for a one-time upfront payment in order to access the services and telling that you will earn $12,000 plus every month if you will follow the steps. If it promises that you'll get rich quick, doubt it. Also, most of the scam sites don't have a refund policy.

2. The site's homepage seems excessively wordy, or perhaps has little or no information on it, or the site has no security features like SSL.

3. The advertisements are usually vague and having lots of grammatical errors. So many exclamation points and capital letters.

4. Exaggerated members' testimonials. Verify those testimonies with outrageous claims and better ask the company if they can provide written earning proofs or ask at least ten references.

5. No Address. They are nowhere to be found. Check if the company has a physical or virtual address and contact number (if yes, ring it to verify).

I hope this will help you.

What else?

Best,
Home Business Guy

You should also check out the other threads in this forum on scams...there's a lot of information in there. But thanks for your list as well.
