Doing your own blogs and writing quality articles with related links back to your sites are one of the effective ways you should go with. Only you need patience as it takes time.

make different blogs, each with different topics, blogs should be rich content and make proper use of keywords, and link blogs with each other using LINK LIST, now it is time to post your ads into classifieds and forums

I also have a site and an online stores and i promoted it in the directories, forums, blogs etc... in twitter, you can always automate and every time you have a new product or services it will appear on your twitter account and your followers could see it. you can use twitterfeed for that. blogs and forum are the best way to promote your sites. make quality reviews of the same niche and make a link to it. just be patient. Yeah DM campaigns can be great I agree - whatever fits in with what you are offering and where your target market is likely to see/ respond. When you are focused on an 'online' business, there are lots of ways to market online and I think it is easy to get trapped into ignoring other parts of the Marketing Mix, and those parts Offline. Anything from newspaper ads, to sponsoring a kids football team could be the cost effective exposure you need to compliment your online activity. |

Hello, it looks like you've gotten some helpful replies. I have never personally used twitter, for socializing or my business, either one. Is twitter a place that a lot of online businesspeople recommend for advertising? I have used the social networking sites and also classified ad sites. I used to use Craigslist before they developed the system where you need a unique phone number in order to place some of the business categories' ads. It seems that facebook and myspace are less biz-friendly than they used to be, too. When I was trapped in spiderweb marketing, I used to try to place my url there. I did all the "right" things at spiderweb and still didn't make a dime. Passive streams of income, yeah right. ;0 Colleen They Laughed When I Said I Was Starting My Business, Now They Are In Awe As I live Life on My Terms!
