In financial terms, 'rich' to me means having the financial freedom to do what I want, when I want, from where I want. Not relying on an employer or the government for my income. But rich is really about more than money, in my opinion. So being surrounded by friends and family, having my health, being happy, feeling grateful for every blessing I have, creating amazing memories... no amount of money would make me rich if I didn't have these things. |

Rich is nothing more than a state of mind. If you are in a place of peace, you are rich. My formula to get there is is.... * Better decision making * love more * gain more knowledge * nurture resources * Spirituality |

Typically, when people use the word 'rich' in a forum such as this, they are not talking whipping cream as opposed to skim milk. ![]() But it sure is nice to see the comments that indicate that being 'rich' should include much more than merely having money in abundance. Money's not much use for example, if you're not well. Health is a priority that we should not ignore. It's very typical when you're still in your teens and perhaps twenties and thirties to almost think of yourself as invincible. I listened to the CEO of a wellness company I'm with talk about how he went through life thinking sleep was a waste of time. If he didn't fall asleep immediately upon hitting the pillow, then he figured he wasn't tired enough and got up to get something worthwhile done. Well, to make a long story short that led to a health breakdown that cost him dearly in quality of life. He had a lot of money as a very successful business man, but the doctors at Mayo Clinic told him to sell all his business interests and retire to his ranch because it would years before he would recover. How much do you think his money meant to him at that moment? How do you put a price on your health? Happily he went on to recover very well and put his newly found wellness passion into starting up the company that is now 10 years old and flourishing even in these troubled economic times. It's amazing how 'rich' typically makes us think 'money', and lots of it, almost instantly, when in reality, money is only one of the things that makes us rich. Tula |

I agree. I see money as lower on the list than some of the others like love and relationships. I also see being able to make money doing something you enjoy as a major blessing. Having money is great, but there is so much more to life than that.

Richness comes with mental peace, wealth, continuous growth and retention of growth pace.

1st of all.. financially stable that you can have a stable and more than enough revenue to support your own living. Then you can have room to explore different things in your life (sports, craftings, volunteer work, etc etc) which makes you feel happy and satisfied with a healthy life. This is what I think the most basic level of RICH before you can elaborate further.
