I started out reading The Four Hour Workweek and that was the beginning of my online business experience. He refers to the ideas as muses.

So as a frequent crawler of these boards I figured I'd come and share some of my experiences as well as an opportunity to join me on my muse.

I started out with a cell phone muse after reading 4hww that failed before i began. I had a great source on refurbished cell phones from 4 carriers. However after beginning to develop the web presence I realized it would be far too time consuming on a personal level to keep current with the extremely rapidly changing cell phone technology and with the speed that carriers change their phones and special promotions.

My second muse was in an area that I had credibility already established on a national level:songwriting.

I created a songwriting workbook in a binder and had moderate success but was not earning the money I was looking for and realized that the market was not as large as I was hoping for. After two months I closed it up.

The third time I got my muse from someone at a Google Adwords seminar in Vegas. The chocolate business. I got in with a proven company (seen on Oprah and everything) and now am in the chocolate distribution business. I almost entirley run the business by phone and have already exceeded my two months with the songwriting site in only three weeks!

The best thing about this business is that I can help all of you! It doesn't have to be your primary muse but can be used to provide you with the income necessary to expand your muse or develop more.

Your first post here are already you are trying to promote something. Why can't you come and contribute to the forum and gain some credibility. If you really understood forum marketing and social etiquette, you would change your approach.

I wasn't trying hard to promote anything. No prod name, no link, no mention of promotion. Actually just excited to know that it is possible beyond a couple thousand a month, and was sharing my experience in a don't give up kind of way! So you don't either Info Junkie!
