Understand so many people are thinking of getting some extra income from selling online during the current economy slum. Or desperately need a new income after losing your jobs.

For those who's always been thinking about starting up an online business, but just doesn't know where you can find sellable items, I'd like to share something from my real experience.

I've been selling in eBay for years and now it's contributing 90% of my income. I can see 2 main successful factors: Competitive price or Unique items.

To be honest, I can never compete with those big wholesalers and importers in price. But I can survive by selling unique things.

Why not just share your source openly? This way we can have a discussion on whether or not this is a direct source or middle man.

Most "sources" are middlemen. If anyone is interested in this topic, we can discuss how to deal directly with the manufacturers. This is the only way to go with these types of products IMHO.

I lighters and keychains aren't good products for the Internet anyway. I would choose items that are a little more difficult to purchase locally. I wouldn't waste my time with little plastic trinkets and such. That is just me.

Is it OK to post another company detail or site in the forum? Not very sure about the rules here...

So have to add your own designs and make it not possible to find the same items in your local shops. This is what I'm doing and people do go to eBay and look for this kind of items..

Because you can start in a small scale in eBay. Not many people can start up a traditional business easily when they don't have much capital in the 1st place...
