One of the biggest reasons people are failing with home business opportunities (besides not taking action) is that they are not getting involved with the right mentor.

To be successful with MLM, direct sales, or any opportunity in which you bring other people into the business, you need to have a powerful story that convinces people to want to join you.

When you are first getting started, you don't have your own story. What would you possibly say? I am just getting started and I am not successful yet, but join me anyway? People want to get involved with people who are already successful. Don't get me wrong, some people may join your opportunity even if you don't have a story, but it is going to be much more difficult.

The way to get a powerful story right out of the gate is to find the right mentor. For example, I have been marketing online for many years and have generated millions of dollars using the Internet. Therefore, I have a powerful story to tell. I let my partners use my story to get their businesses off the ground.

For example, I allow my partners to market my website when they are first getting started so that they have a powerful story to start with. Since my website has a powerful success story and a very high conversion rate, my partners are able to begin making sales right away.

Then... I encourage my partners to begin developing their own powerful story. Since they are making sales using my system to start, it is easy to begin gathering their own proof. I show my partners how to pull their story together, and before long, they are able to use their own story and begin branding themselves. This works amazingly well.

So... part of the key to success with a business opportunity is to find the right mentor. Find a mentor that has a powerful story that they will allow you to use to get started. Remember, just because they have a powerful story does not mean that they will allow you to use it. Be sure to find this out BEFORE YOU JOIN!

Once you find the right mentor, have a valuable story to use, and begin making sales. Immediately begin gathering proof and developing your own story so that you can brand yourself. Follow this advice and you will be well on your way to home business success.

There are so many scams that it is easy to get fustrated with trying to do buisness over the web, you need to carefuly understand what is being offered to you and be open minded but do not think that success comes overnight.

I believe people fail in a home business because they sign up or start it but don't finish. Most people start a business and expect to make is rich overnight. It takes time and you have to keep a stong mind. Which mean each day you have to get up take an hour and write down some goals for the day. Stick to your goal for that day. Also you want to invest atleast 2-3 hours a day to your business.
