That is not always true. I did have to pay a $14.50 fee to sign up but I received in return the informative packed membership pack I have ever seen! It had a customer book on how to get the best out of the products, how to earn money even if I was just a customer, I even got the book to do the business in case I decided to go that route. (Which I did). It had a DVD about the business, and 2 audio CDs-1 of which was the training CD for the presentation!! It also had like 5 different catalogs! I was highly impressed! So, if there is a sign up fee, find out what it that includes. If it's just to talk to someone, I agree, I would not pay but if you are going to get an intro pack or getting acquainted type BOX like I did, definitely! The more info you receive, the better the chance you will join.

I looked at the PowerMall system. It sounds great but will you please also view the Melaleuca presentation on my site? They are very similar. There are a couple of differences:

1. We are required to spend only about $70 per month
2. We earn 27% on our own purchases as well as any below us. We are required to have 8 people below us within the 1st 2 months but there are so many other ways to earn a % on each customer each month.

Like I said, they are very similar but then there are differences. Yes, you are required to buy a certain amount, we go on a points system because we are international but it more than pays for itself in the 1st month if you sign up your 8 customers.
