Re: So How Do You Work From Home Without Getting Scammed
Yes, there is a growing number of websites that are far from legitimate with the classic "work from home" offers. The best thing a person could do is research, research, and research some more.
Forums are a great place to research, but I would not exclusively use them, especially when it comes to network marketing. Many people who are posting negative comments are simply people that did not realize that you actually have to work and put forth effort if you want to make money. They did not put forth effort so they did not make money. This inevitably becomes the company's fault. I cannot repeat this enough times, but with starting any business, you NEED A BUSINESS PLAN with CLEAR OBJECTIVES.
If you want reliable information, research how long a company has been in business. Many companies come and go, but few withstand the test of time. Also, check with the local BBB where the company resides. Yes, many companies do get complaints, but how they resolve them and how many they are getting is the key.
Be very cautious of any company that does not have a telephone number CLEARLY listed or easily accessible on their website. A good company always has a telephone number you can call.
I would also be wary of any company making outrageous claims about how much money you can make. Folks, no matter what the system or opportunity is, you have to work hard each and every day.
Take a look at the product or service being sold. Is the product just the latest fad that will fade away as quick as it came? Is the service something that you could see anyone using today, tommorrow, and well into the future? These are important questions you need to ask yourself.
DO NOT join any company that does not offer a money back guarantee. Keep in mind that there will be a deadline on this offer. Generally, you have about a week, give or take.
I know I might take some heat over it, but I am not personally a huge fan of internet turnkey systems. They make it sound so easy to do and that once you are going, your program is on autopilot. This is not 100% correct. Just because you have one of their replicated websites or your own website online does not mean that you are going to automatically get a ton of web traffic. You have to advertise the site so people know it is there. This can be done in many ways and one of the most popular is Pay-Per-Click and if you do not know exactly what you are doing with PPC, you may go for broke.
Just like with any regular job, you have happy employees and disgruntled employees. The same is true with any "Work and Home" opportunity. Do your research and find a company that has been in business for many years, sells a good product or service, and has a decent compensation plan.
The easy part is signing up with a company, the challenging part starts after you sign up. There is no such thing as easy money unless you win the lottery, find a suitcase full of money on the side of the road, or get an inheritance. And NEVER FORGET to develop a business plan with clear objects. Without one you will be chasing your tail.
