I suggest that you write articles, set up a blog and keep adding good content to it. Forums and other social sites are good opportunities that you can use. Understand that it will take time but if you do they will evenutally come. Don't get discouraged.

Hi donna107, First of all, what type of site do you have? Is it a replicated site from a company you are promoting? Or is it a site or blog that you are building? It is important that you have your own site or blog. And before you would even think about traffic, be sure you have content in your site that will be useful information for your visitors. Strive to add relevant content as much as you can. There is no sense driving traffic to your site when there is nothing but banners and promotions in it. Your visitor will quickly leave your site if this is the case. Getting traffic to your site is a very broad topic...I'm sure you will get a lot of suggestions from others. To name a few...blogging, traffic exchanges, forum posting, submitting articles to directories, SEO, Pay-per-click, press release and so much more. It is good advice to choose one method first until you become very good at it, then you may want to move to another method later. You have to be realistic also. It takes some time and effort before you could see results. Hope this can help you get started. Robert |

It all depends on how much capital you have available. If you have capital to begin advertising, you will want to start off with PPC. You always want to start testing with PPC to get started. This will help you to determine if your site is converting properly. You must be sure you are converting before going after any other method of obtaining traffic. If you are not converting at a reasonable rate (at least 1% minimum), all other traffic is a waste of time and resources.

Writing articles. Some Article Directories provide a form field to include your copyright notice and the resource box. Entice readers here with a freebie e-book or a report or even an attention-grabbing headline to attract them to click the link and visit your web site. A good idea is to end your article with a question and link to your web site to find the answer. You also gain credibility as an expert with articles. Remember also knowledge alone is not enough you must apply your knowledge Willing to apply your knowledge is also not enough you must DO! HelenaZ |

Although you are welcome to this forum, I suggest you read the rules. Advertising your site here as a newbie is not welcome. |

| That is fine Renee. Part of my goal is to protect my visitors who don't know any better. I purchased this forum as a side project months back and am just getting around to implementation as I have been busy with my other businesses. My vision is to build the number one home business community on the Internet and to reveal the truth about what is happening in this industry. You just joined the forum so I don't know much about you yet. I am not comfortable people posting links when they haven't established credibility and trust in this community. I realize that there is a lot of garbage on this forum from before I took over. I am applying some resources to get this community back on track and to get things cleaned up. If you are honest about wanting to help other people, then stick around. There are some major changes about to happen. I am about to upload some videos to begin to discuss some of the changes that are happening. Blessings, |

There isn't time to review every link that is posted. I agree with the forum rules. |

Hi Donna Good ideas about how to market your website but i noticed they seem focused on article submissions and blogging for example. When you put together a business website you need to design an Internet Promotion strategy to make sure you have objectives and goals to aim for. My tips for you are this
In general terms your website is not considered effective until it gets into the Top 30 natural search results to really drive traffic from searching. In addition, you should consider a 2% to 3% visitor conversion rate shows a healthy business website. Most businesses aim for at least a 5% conversion rate. Make sure you give the best chance to your website by getting it healthy first. Paul Small Business Coach |
