Good article.It sure takes a lot of time and effort to get started, but when the ball starts rolling working a few hours per week can be just enough.The biggest motivation for many is to escape the 9-5 job, but when starting up your own home based business you will work a lot more than that in the beginning.

Interesting thoughts.

I started my home business with just an interest in making some extra money online in my spare time. I didn't get into all the nitty gritty details of the why's and wherefore's that you have listed.

My biggest obstacle was discovering the HOW. When I started looking online for opportunities to make money, I was absolutely horrified. There was just so much utter rubbish and hype that I didn't know if I'd ever find anything that was legitimate, reliable, and trustworthy.

I finally learned how to build niche websites and my income has steadily increased as I've built them and progressed through the process. I didn't have to put out a lot of money (didn't have it to spare). I did have to invest my time and energy into building my sites.

It turns out I absolutely love it, now that I've learned how to do it! My aging brain has enjoyed the challenge and the extra income has been a real blessing.

Some people DO have a lot more money to invest and can start out big. In those cases, just be very careful that you do a lot of research to be sure that you are joining a legitimate opportunity that isn't going to lose you money in the long run.

If you don't have a lot of money to invest, start small like I did and build yourself a little growing business that becomes more and more serious money over time.
