For those of you out there who are marketing your home business online, what is your tactic? How many forums do you post to a day? Which search engines are the best to find quality forums, boards, and/or classifieds? How many leads are being generated on a daily/weekly basis Thanks in advance for sharing! |

I post in a half dozen forums, but not necessarily every day. When I first started working from home online, I pretty much ignored forums and concentrated on building a solid foundation for my site. Really, I was in the learning stage, so I didn't have much to add because I didn't know anything! ![]() I did place a heap of classified ads in the early days - I don't think I've ever made any sales from them, to be honest. I do now visit forums more regularly. I just found this one today. It was mentioned in another forum so I thought I'd check it out. I enjoy helping people find excitement and joy in building quality web businesses because I'm so grateful that I found a reliable company to teach me how to do it right. I feel compelled to pass it on. But, I also learn tips and tricks from others in forums. It's a constant learning process, but very challenging and exciting. I've met some wonderfully generous people in forums that have really taught me a lot. If you are using forums to market, find forums that relate to your product niche. For instance, for my chocolate site, I really need to post in niches that relate to that subject. By sharing info. on candy making, etc., I generate interest in me and my site and get some visitors. This is good for blogs, too. You can use Google alerts to be notified when there are new blog posts related to your particular keywords. Many blogs like visitor comments. They ask for your url and make it a clickable link for your name. It's important not to just go and spam these blogs or the blog owner will just delete your comment. Read what they have written and contribute a comment of value to the 'conversation.' If you do this to just a couple per day, you will generate links to your site as well as get some interested visitors. Blessings, Angie |
