Good afternoon, all. I wanted to share some tips and advice with you about Video Marketing. If the written word is powerful, the spoken word is double so…consider the innate laziness of the consumer. It is always easier to listen than it is to read and comprehend, especially because it is easier to convey emotions and build bonds through speech than it is through writing. By the same token, it is even easier for the consumer to identify and connect with you if they can actually see you as well as hear you. Enter video-marketing, one of the most potent and FREE online business tools available to us with Web2.0 I make use of video-marketing for MyInternetBusiness using the various free internet video broadcasting services, including YouTube, Revver, Myspace, etc. Now, you may be thinking, ‘Well I wouldn’t know what to say, I can’t give a video presentation, I’d just look like an idiot’. I disagree 100%…look at it this way, a lot of us who do business reviews and presentations on YouTube DO look like idiots, but we are making some sweet money from it!! For example, here is a semi-serious video that I just put up on YouTube yesterday, where I promote the business with some professional help from my 2-year old son. ![]() Now I’m not expecting to win any Oscar’s from this, or any beauty contests for that matter (though my little boy sure looks cute in his new MyInternetBusiness onesie!). What I am doing is showing my prospects that I am a real person, just like them. I occasionally stumble over a word or too, I’m not perfect…but I AM earning profits with MyInternetBusiness! And that is just what people want to see: that your home-based business is something that everyday people CAN succeed with. So why else do we use Youtube and other video-marketing? Well, for one thing, the search engines loooove it, and will shower you with rewards for your efforts. If you do a google search for most popular subjects, you will see on the front page at least one video, probably on Youtube. As you may know, Google has purchased YouTube, and accords it VERY high rankings. So be sure to include your keywords and your website url in the description of your Youtube video, and you will see the results. Lastly, video-marketing is effective because people like to buy from people that they know. Now, you may be thinking, ‘Rob, you a$$, they don’t KNOW me, they just saw a video of me on the internet spouting off about my compensation plan’. But you would be surprised. People form an empathy when they actually see you talking about your business, sharing your story, and telling them what you can do for them. They also ‘know’ you much better than they know a nameless website, or a signature at the bottom of an agonizingly-long sales letter page. And get this…the more videos that you produce and get out there on the internet, the more chances you are giving your prospects to get to know you better. Stay tuned for more network marketing tips! |
