I am still trying to figure out what is a resonable amount for advertising. Getting started in a business this is an expense we have to include in getting started. Donica

Hi Donica, I think it all depends on the person and their budget. Of course as your business grows so should your advertising budget. I personally decided that I would only spend $100/month on advertising and When I make a profit, half of it goes back into advertising. I also still have a full time job though. So I know other people may not be able to afford that and some people may be able to afford more. That's my take on it... Jasmine |

I am finding several free ways to advertise and this forum is loaded with creative methods that are free or low cost. $100/mo. may be too much for some and too little for others. Those joining my team are currently taking advantage of a ground floor opportunity coupled with free cutting-edge websites, "Rotator Advertising" that funnels leads from massive campaigns to each member for startup and much more. If your opportunity offers free resources and team support, I recommend you take advantage of all those great ways to explode your income. To Your Success! Joanne B. |

At this point I have only spend $40 for business cards. About 90% of my time online goes to advertising and I take advantage of all the free advertising avenues that I can. My website does best through word of mouth advertising and forum posting. |

Since I am a quantitative type person- I will tell you that when you begin you need to absolutely test every single campaign you do. There are some real scams out there- so test in small dollar amounts until you see what gives you a return on your investment. Having said that- I have personally had success in some areas where less than a $ 200 investment yielded me several new team members- which resulted in significant (greater that 10X my original investment) and I still have a bunch of other people looking at my opportunity. As Joanne says above- there are a very few number of groups that offer support to their new people- through inclusion in a Rotator to help them get started while they also are going through a newbie 30-60 day plan for success. To those of us with that mindset- it is really about not letting someone be left behind and a casualty of the home based business industry. Not all buy into that concept- but I can assure you it is very empowering for our team members to experience- and I believe it could be a beginning to a new future within the network marketing industry. Feel free to pm me or email me with any questions. To your success! |

Free advertising can be successful if done properly. We have had one sale and two opt-ins this week from free ads. We are now going to proceed to put out as many new ads as we can after we take the time to create quality ones. We will link them to our rotator and track where the hits come from. Bizmentor - Can you forward that tracking software you spoke about? Thanks "Eagle"

Free advertising is slower than paid advertising for sure... However there are many avenues for advertising.. I would not recommend free classifieds though.. => Talk Home Business Blog Tips

Advertising is something that I plan to pursue with the New Year. I have been fairly successful without it, mostly getting clients through referrals and forums, but I think advertising may help to double my client base - at least I hope so |
