Default Any advice?

I'm thinking of starting a little tech support/repair company locally, I was wondering if anyone had any advice? I'd like to go into web hosting aswell, which is why I need to make some money first and was thinking of doing something like a tech support company.

I've been using windows for about 7 years and I can do most of everything needed. I think it'd be a great company to do around here, most people are still on dialup even. lol As for hosting, I know how to use WHM/cPanel very well and I have a good understanding of linux.

Some of the things on tech support as in:
Troubleshooting,
Wireless Networks,
OS Reloads,
Etc.

If your looking to support web hosts, you will need more than knowledge in cPanel/WHM you must an experienced admin in Linux, know your way around shell, apache is a must as well.

That's true, maybe not troubleshooting. And as for hosting, I've read about every tutorial out there and I'm looking into just getting a reseller for awhile. I'm probablly going to pick up a book on linux as soon as I can, and I know my way around apache pretty well. I'm a PHP scripter along with HTML, etc.

A tech support/repair company is a good idea, specially with home owners and home business. Most private individuals does not bother to have an in-depth knowledge of their operating systems and hardwares. You can start from there, build connections, and work your way up to larger contracts.

A humble tech support or computer repair business is often overlooked as a homebusiness. If we consider it for a moment, the average computer using joe does not really know anything about his machine. He just opens it and types away, no maintenance. So this type of business is promising.
