Lots dive into the web hosting field as it seems that its easy to enter, all you need is a reseller account and a website, however, its not as easy as it seems, most of these guys close in 3-6 months, unless your planning to spend money, effort and time into web hosting, I don't recommend it. Another way is to join some affiliate programs, lots do that and lots are successful, promote those affiliate programs and earn commissions. There are really lots of things you can do from home, depends on what your good at and what you like to do.

I like to write and if I had more time I would write articles. The pay is not so good, around $5 per article. I could knock out 10 in one day and get $50 buck, that's at least 2 cases of beer right? (I drink wine, but I doubt many college students drink anything more expensive than Boonsfarm )Back on topic...If you can write you can make a little extra cash to fund your off time. You can pick the topics to write about that can limit the amount of research you have to do. Check out elance.com if you want to go that way.

What are you studying in college? You might be able to build a website or blog around that topic, stick some related ebooks or affiliate links on the site (or blog), and some pay-per-click ads and make a little bit of money on the side. Or pick a topic that you already enjoy and know a lot about. But I agree with everyone else here, evaluate yourself first. If you're good with computers, HTML and graphics, make some websites... either for yourself, or as a service for others. If you're good at writing, write some articles or find a company that will pay you to blog or post on forums. You might even be able to write some ebooks and sell them for profit. There's a lot of things you could do... identify what your strengths are, and then go from there. |

Since you are still in college, I think you need to come up with a source of income wherein it will not take too much from your time. Focus on the things that you want to do and the resources that you have. Do not force yourself to work on things that are not included in your field of interest.
