Surefire Plan For Home Business Success!
Home businesses are a way to get out of debt and plan for your
future.A MLM business offers you the chance to start with a
small investment and a chance for a lucrative home based
business. So which MLM business opportunity should you invest
your hard earned money in? Or, do you think that the free
business would be the best investment?
A MLM business opportunity should be evaluated thoroughly. Check
out the company and find out how long the company has been
in business. If the company is relatively new and has no track
record, there is no assurance that it will even work. Does the
company have a physical address and phone number which you
can call? Any company that is solely ran by a web site or mobile
location is of questionable reputation. Do you want to invest
yourself and your future in a company that is questionable? Even
if everything sounds great and you get in on the action “free” is
it really free? Free is relative. If you invest your time day after
day then one day the location is changed, you have lost your
time investment. Your time and effort that could have been
spent building your company with a reputable company that
was still in business. Time is money!
Exactly, what are the credentials of the originator of the company?
Was it some GURU that has all the answers and will help you make
millions without an effort? Who really makes money on the Gurus
projects? You should be able to answer that easily! If you have
ever invested yourself in one of the Gurus projectsyou will note
that even if the product wasn’t introduced to you by the Gurus,
the Gurus will usually continue to market new products with you.
Bottom line, this is how the Gurus builds his list.
So, again look at who originates the company and do your research
on that person. Check out what the Internet and reputable
magazines are saying about the CEO and the company that you
are considering. A good source would be Millionaire Blueprints. If
the CEO is well known in the business community that is a definite
plus. The company that is debt free offers a higher return to those
that enter the business.
Does the MLM business company have some successful members
you can talk to? I’m talking about phone numbers with names
and email addresses. Real everyday people that are making a
full-time living off the business. Or, do you just see pictures of
materialist possessions like money, cars, boats, houses and
someone posing with them? These can easily be fabricated!
You should be able to talk with your sponsor as well as others
within the company about the business and what their
experience has been.
Everyone successful in business knows that there is a learning
curve. Some are able to read an ebook and set up their
business. Most however, require support of the company as
well as a mentor to teach and guide and direct and how to be
successful. Company business sites with videos, and live
conferences are a definite plus. However, a great MLM model
is built on one-on-one mentoring program.
The company should disclose all costs involved in maintaining a
business. You shouldn’t be asked to paya fee then fill out more
paperwork and then pay another fee. Usually a free-to-join
business opportunity will involve other costs such as marketing
and advertising fees. Most MLM business that have a successful
track record do require a small investment, which may frequently
be returned to you if you are able to meet the requirements.
These should be disclosed to you and reviewed by you before
you commit to the business. Free usually isn’t really free! Any
offer that is now and now only is considered high-pressure
tactics and you should walk away. The MLM business should
require an initial low investment and have a higher potential
in the short term and the long term.
A successful home business can offer a great way to pay off
your bills but more importantly plan for your future. Invest your
time in checking out the company, the CEO and the people of
the company. Afterall, a successful MLM company is about the
people. The team you build is a powerful way to leverage your
time and earn a great income. Isn’t it about time that you
planned for your future?
Realize your future here.
To Your Success!

I agree with you. I see too many new start ups with only an email address to contact them. What is up with that? If you have digital products, that's fine but when you are dealing with consumables, you need them to be solid. Must have customer service reps taking calls during business hours.
numbers of leaders available to talk to and to get help, etc...
without these, you might as well move on to the next company.

Yes having a customer support number or a corporate head quarter is usually a good sign that the company is rock solid. I prefer to deal with big ticket items that have a high profit margin where the product has extreme value to the end user. They you must learn how to become a master marketer, prospector, and closer to make the big money.

Re: Surefire Plan For Home Business Success!
I do agree with you on the tests for a genuine MLM program. I do however point out that many of the MLM scamers have gone ahead to beat the tests you say - yet that doesn't make the legit. They hire people who present themselves to new members as 'successful members', they hire offices in upmarket areas, get registered, e.tc. - yet they remain scams.
I think the ultimate test for a genuine MLM program is looking at its business fundamentals. What does it sell? How does it make its money? What investments is it grounded on... and such questions.
And once you develop uneasy feelings about an MLM program, trust your instincts.
At the end of it all, there are some legit MLMs out there, but they are few and far apart.
Thanks for your tips though, and that video link.

Re: Surefire Plan For Home Business Success!
That is an awesome post. I am so tired of hearing people wanting to make money without investing anything. There is no such thing as free. I think finding a legit company is everything. What gets me is that people even if the company is great and can speak with people who are successful they are still leary. My opportunity is risk free-everything comes with a 100% guarantee and the company is BBB registered(not an MLM, but similar in some aspects).
My suggestion is to look up the company with the BBB. Another thing if they have not been in business for over 7 years do lots of research before investing. Many companies go under, my mother in law is a distributor for a company that has been around for a long time (she has been doing the opportunity for over 11 years) and they just filed for bankruptcy. Very Scary.
Research is the key.

Re: Surefire Plan For Home Business Success!
Yes, it can be frustrating how people expect something for nothing, but I can work with people who don't have a lot of money.
What I CAN'T do is work with people who are lazy and think the world somehow OWES them a full-time income online. Internet marketing is NOT easy, and if you don't do any work, you won't make any money no matter what opportunity you are involved with.
That may sound obvious but you would be surprised how in EVERY single business out there, there are people who join and then just don't do anything.
It would be one thing if they were doing all paid advertising and using the call center to close sales...but no, I'm talking about people who not only aren't paying for marketing but they aren't doing their own marketing either.
If you've been around a bit in this industry, you probably know what I'm talking about. It happens less in high-ticket or 2-up types of businesses, but it still happens.
No matter how great a team resource site you create, or how many webinar classes you hold, there is NO such thing as an idiot-proof or guaranteed home business...because there is always going to be some bum in your organization who doesn't.
Ok, rant over

Re: Surefire Plan For Home Business Success!
Rob,
Great rant. I do believe everyone involved in a home based business will have said that same thing at least once. I have had those people in my business and it drives me nuts. Don't say you want to do something and then just don't do anything. It takes work to run a home based business!!!!

Re: Surefire Plan For Home Business Success!
If you make something idiot proof, someone will build a better idiot. I agree wholeheartedly with the previous posters.
When you're looking for a new program to promote, research is essential. Also good practice to make contact with the program owners and gauge response time, willingness to help, explain, disclose costs etc.
It's absolutely impossible to make a full time living online without expenses, people should be happy that the expenses are considerably less than doing business offline, but sadly many are still looking for the "magic button".

You are so right with this rant! Those are the people you have to watch out for. I was just talking with someone else on this forum about this. When choosing an opportunity, evaluate, evaluate, evaluate!!! Make sure the opportunity is sound of its own accord, then do research for scam alerts on a program. READ carefully and make sure the person reporting a scam didn't just not follow the system or do any work towards their goal.
I am only 30 days into marketing my business, yes I complain about not having anyone sign up yet, but with the marketing I'm doing its good that I am getting people to my autoresponder on the daily basis, I'm getting people requesting more information about my opportunity a few times a week, and I am getting people to two of the conference calls every week. Trust me when you say its hard work I know what you mean, and I am not using any paid advertising either. I am learning this whole marketing process from scratch. But, as recommended with any opportunity you find and join, you should give it three months, 90 days at least before you give up.
