Forum Poll: What business, or type of business, are you in?
I'm interested in getting an idea of what types of home businesses the members of this forum are involved with. If you are doing more than one, choose the option that you consider to be your 'primary' business.
Thanks in advance for your help!

This was a good idea Rob. It would have been nice to get more of a response. I come from more of an SEO / Internet Marketing background. What about yourself?

Thanks for the response Jamison. From reading some of your other posts you are one of the more savvy entrepreneurs on the forum, especially if you are doing SEO.
Is that the line of work you are in, providing SEO consulting services?
I'd say about 80% of my sales come from SEM/SEO...the best prospect is always one who seeks YOU out instead of the other way around.
I actually just wrote a post about SEM and attraction marketing here on
My Blog
Yeah, too bad that the poll didn't get much response, but from viewing posts it seems to me that most of the posters are involved either in affiliate marketing or some flavor of MLM.

Re: Forum Poll: What business, or type of business, are you in?
Hi Rob,
I do multiple stuff from affiliate marketing, niche marketing, blogging, my own products and freelancing (web design, blog customization, writing etc). Of course some stuff are outsourced...
I do delve in SEO as well but only for my sites and not as a provider. One of my strengths are writing and I generate a lot of passive traffic through my writing as well that includes writing for humans and writing for search engines.
Generally, the community here are either involved in MLM or affiliate marketing. We used to have those who provide services like hosting, web design etc in the past...

I wish other people would reply also. It would be good to know what others are doing.
I am in direct marketing, but we are not considered an MLM.

Re: Forum Poll: What business, or type of business, are you in?
Hello,
My name is Bob. I live in Redding, CA. I'm 46 years old (boy that sounds OLD when I wirte that) I've spent the past year or more getting ripped off by "get rich quick" schemes <g>. I'm now focusing my efforts on affiliate marketing. My goal is to go into e-commerce, and have a site where I sell "niche" products, but I don't yet have the startup capital to begin a legitimate business. The fist website I ever created is educational in nature. I haven't yet read all the rules of the forum, or rather, I'm a little confused still. I'm happy to have found this place though!
Sincerely, Bob

Hi Bob,
Welcome onboard!
You are not old and neither are any of us... sorry to hear you've been ripped off but take it as a learning curve perhaps and don't give up. Your current goal is fantastic and if you need any help just let us know.
You may leave your site details in your signature though.

Re: Forum Poll: What business, or type of business, are you in?
Thanks for the welcome, Fendi. Can you tell me how to set up a "signature?" I can't seem to find that option anywhere. Or is it something I just put in manually after my name? Thanks!
Sincerely, Bob

Re: Forum Poll: What business, or type of business, are you in?
I guess I'm the only one here that does the Freebies. Well, I did used to do Project Payday, but after a while, as all people do, I started running out of offers to try. Finally I gave it up. Lately though, I have found a great opportunity that uses Freebies, then transfers them into a leveraging program. Its called the Free Online Cash System. My only problem now is the learning curve with Marketing. Per the founder of this program, I am doing everything right as far as getting the word out there, but I haven't had anyone to sign up under me as of yet. They say it takes at least 90 days to see any true results in marketing, but its frustrating when you are spending so much time in marketing, getting people to the calls (they have several weekly workshop calls explaining how the process works), but not having people contact you back after that, or worse yet, not seeing anyone sign up at all. The program is good, I saw the value in it the first time I attended a call. The program is legitimate, there are many people who have gotten paid from it, and its shown on a blog. How come I can't get people to see it the way I did?

Just a "test message" to see if I set up my profile and signature correctly! I'll come back soon to post something relevant <g>. Thanks for your patience!
