Thumbs up How to write a good marketable article - Part 1

The process can be broken down into:
(1) Research Keywords;
(2) Write your articles;
(3) Article submission.

The most important step which most has neglected is keyword research. Spending time to research keywords to be included in your article title, body and resource box will elevate your ranking in the search engine. Put into your prospect's shoe and think what they are looking for. If you are selling an online product like fishing rod, you may want to search for keywords relating to fishing rod in http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com or http://inventory.overture.com.
You can include the more popular keywords listed in wordtracker or overture as your keywords in your articles.

Secondly, writing a good article does not necessarily mean a lengthy essay. An ideal word count for a good online article is around 350 - 500 words. Always remember not to write more than 500 words per article. The reason being so is that human concentration span in front of the monitor reading is lower than reading a book or newspaper.

Stay tuned for the second part on how to write good marketable article where I shall share further on how to write a catchy title.

Marsden, thats downright advertising of Success University in your blog. I'm afraid you are only allowed to list it in your signature and not in the main thread.

Thumbs up How to write a good marketable article - part 2

Ok folks, let's continue from where we left off. We were talking about the word counts of an article. Today, we shall proceed to writing a good catchy title for your article. A title is the facade of an article. Just like an outstanding person tend to attract many, a good title attracts reader to its content. My take is to write a problem-based title rather than a solution-based one. An example of a solution-based title may look like this: "3 secrets to email marketing success". This title might be a hit several years ago but its "alluring" power has faded over the time. Indeed, curiosity can never be put on hold once it is aroused and what do you think of the impact of a problem-based title like "Do you know who's killing your email marketing?" to the reader? Which of the title do you think allures reader more? I would say the latter version. Remember, you must include your keywords in your title to increase your search and rankings on the internet.

Next, it is the body of your article which is also the content. Be concise and straightforward in your writing. Think from the reader perspective. Readers are interested to find relevant information that caters to their needs. Any quality articles that provide concise and rich content informations will certainly find its way to its avid readers. Remember, a good article encapsulates most of its interesting and important points in the first second paragraph. Again, your placement of keywords are crucial in the first and second paragraphs.

Well, let us take a rest and start writing a good article with all the steps listed from part 1 and 2. Part 3 shall target on writing a good resource box or signature box and some of the popular high rankings article submission url which you can go to submit your articles. See you then and Cheers

I think it should be a little bit shorter. I'm not sure that I'd read the article "Do you know who's killing your email marketing?", if I've seen this title on forum, for example. Because I usually 'read between lines.

I am not sure if there is an article "Do you know who's killing your email marketing?" I am stating that as an example of writing a title that catches attention.
