Hosting An Online Party 1. Choose your date and time. Weeknight evenings work best. 2. Schedule the party on whichever online or paper calendar you use. 3. Create an invitation. Evite.com is a great service to use. On your invite, include date, time, location and any specials you are offering. You may also want to include an incentive for people to come such as a free gift for the first person to arrive, etc. 4. Send out invites 2 days before the party, the morning of the party and an hour before the party. You want people to be reminded often so they wont forget. 5. You may want to plan your party on paper the day before so you will be ready when it comes party time. Plan at least 2 games and try and recommend products to your guests. 6. Try and be in the chat room at least 20 minutes before the party starts to welcome any early birds who show up. 7. It is important to welcome each guest who comes in the room, let them know the website and any specials too. 8. Give at least 15 minutes from when the party starts for people to come in. They are often late stragglers. 9. To start the party, start off by introducing yourself and post your website. Tell them your business name and explain a bit about it. 10. Post your specials for the evening. 11. Ask if anyone has questions often during the party. Most times a guest will have a question but they don’t want to interrupt you and then they forget later on. 12. Do your first game. Write down everyone who is in the room. Use this list to keep score of the game and keep track of the winner. Make sure you get the winners email and address so you can send their prize. 13. Now you can do some general chit chat and again ask anyone if they have questions. 14. At this point you will talk about recruiting and hostess opportunities. 15. If time permits you can play another game. 16. Ask again if anyone has questions and end your party. You can say something like thank you for coming I hope everyone has had a good time. 17. Always be the last one to leave the chat. The End! |

That is quite a long list of things to remember but it was a good read, most especially the last item. Haha It is not nice to leave before your guests.

I really enjoyed this article. I have wondered how an online party was conducted. I sell Home & Garden party and Mark. I printed this out and think I am going to try to conduct an online party. I will keep you posted on how it goes.

At first I wonder if it's an online invitation then you will be gathered in one place but I guess all your listings happens over the internet. I never knew that there was such things like this.
