I recently ventured into baking and I found it quite fun and interesting! But I just bake and eat them... and during christmas, I give them as gift placed in a container and i put ribbons on them. But I have thought of selling them too... I just dont know how much will I sell them.

Well, since you're planning to do a business, you have to know how much you've put in to your baking first. Consider all the monetary as well as non-monetary costs. Do not take for granted the laws of economics too: your competition, the demand, etc. And then you'll do fine. |

do not forget that no matter how you sweat to bake that, customers will expect a reasonable price for your product. otherwise, they will be buying other gifts for their families and friends. it will also be nice if you will give them some extra freebies, let's say, when they buy 5 or more. |

Remember that you have a lot of competition... even big companies. Their prices may be lower because they bake/process their food in batches. What you need to do is formulate a marketing strategy. I know of this entrepreneur who personalizes chocolates. She was able to gain a sustainable market. |

I tried to bake some brownies last Christmas and when i ask my mom to taste it, she said it can be a business. Well, I don't know if she's biased because I am her daughter or it's just really delicious. hehehe. Anyways, I always sprinkle some sweet and colorful elements on the top to make it look more attractive. I sold 10 pieces of brownies to my next-door neighbor and she is happy with it because her daughter has a sweet tooth. Now, I have a potential customer. Thanks to her daughter. |

I love eating cakes but then I am not that talented when it comes to cooking and baking. But I was planning to get some baking/cooking lessons soon. I just hope I could eat what I'ved baked too. |

I have tried baking cakes but no cookies yet. I didn't sell them though. I had some for myself and gave the rest of it to relatives and friends. It's fun to bake. Just make sure your cookies and cakes are truly delicious, then offer it for a reasonable price. I'm sure your goodies will be a total hit.
