Default Candle Making as business

Hi! I am always fond of candles, scented one especially. But when I buy it at the mall or in stores, i find it really really expensive, because I am leaning more on the big scented candles. So I am thinking now what if I make it a business.

Do you have experience in candle making? Should I venture into this business, how much capital should I need for a starter?

Starting a candle business would be a good idea especially since people today are going with the wellness trend. But make sure you are well aware of how your competition is doing. Always always always study the market first before deciding on venturing on any business.

I like candles too and your right, they sell them at a steep price. The candle market is pretty saturated but if you are creative you might find ways to make yours stand out. If you'll go for basic candles, you'll need about a hundred dollars to start. But if you want to use gold leaf to decorate them, it's another story...

You could always start selling on ebay, you know. How about making different types of candles and showing us pictures here? I would surely love to see your creation. If more people see your product then there will be more chances of having a sale. Who knows, somebody might like your product and ask you to make bulks for them. That would be a good break.

Candle-making is my hobby about three years ago. It all started as a school project but I have found immense passion in making candles since they can be an ornament or an extra spirit-boosting element in my room. I actually have my own style of making candles. It will just take me about 15 minutes to make and decorate the candle.
