Default Technology | Pros & Cons

How can technology help you run your business more effieciently?

I use techology to power the whole aspect of my business, if my network ever crashed, i would be unable to run my business until the network was put back online.

I have a safe and im going to print hard copies of my clients details and place them in the safe. But this still wouldn't allow my business to run if my network crashed.

How much does your company depend on technology and have you considered other methods?

Technology has endless possibilites to running a business, but remember its not always reliable and can sometimes be slow and can often crash.

Regards
Impulse

My business does not really rely too heavily on technology. Probably only to store customer information, records, and recipts. Also to provide some support. Otherwise, if the network went down, I would still have all the information backed up, as I do everything on hard copy, then transfer it to computer. The only thing that may affect me is a power outage, but I can still repair computers in a power outage...by flashlights and/or candlelight, but just can't test them!

So out of 10 my dependence on technology is about 5, not too heavy at all.

Yeah, you repaird computers and like you said the only thing you would not be able to do is test them.

My company is purely internet based and i would say out of 10. My dependence is 11. Without access to my network i would be unable to reboot servers, respond to support etc.

Yea, hosting companies..lol...it is hard to work without power/technology, unless you have generators, but I guess even those wou;d not exist without technology. So it pretty much seems like you would be outta luck without technology :P

I would say I rely on the internet allot, as all of my business is ran online, I always have a backup dial up account in case the something happened to my DSL connection for example, same goes to my LAN, I can always get connected, unless the electricity dies, cant do much about it in that case

technology has definitely been a positive event for me. It has helped me launched my website, everylist.com. It has made me launch it with a cheap price due to tight competition with webhosting.

on a broader scale, I think it has definitely helped other people as well. Just ask the thousands of people who are making their living off ebay.
