Default A business plan

Do any of you develop a working business plan and consult it on a regular basis?

I've read that one of the leading reasons businesses fail is because they lack a good plan. I personally have a business plan, but it is pretty flexible and subject to change at any moment. I'm thinking it might help to work out a more solid plan and try to stick to it.

A business plan applies to basically all business whether it is online, or at home in the office. By highlighting all the objectives you wish to achieve, and by listing the costs associated, the difficulties and the tasks required to achieve the goals this will effectively provide a solid plan. This will ensure your business to overcome a difficult problem if one tends to arise.

Business plans are a neccesity in my book. As said above it provides a solid plan and this is what you need. You can't build a building in water, there's no foundation. This principle applies to business as well. It is also a good problem solver as said above. Also, in the future it may be required to have one before your company can further expand or draw investors if you go that route.

A business plan sets a guideline and marks out the pathway to be followed. A simple analogy would be the map before you set off on a long drive. Personally I feel a business plan is important and in many cases an inherent part of the business
