When, why and how did you start your home based business? I think many of us start a business for better opportunities and the chance to use or skills and creativity.

I actually started mine for more of a hobby, and just to make a little extra money. I really never imagined that I would be working from home and making a full time income.

I've been in home based business for over 14 years. I started because I wanted to have more time freedom, flexibility and the money to support it.

When we first started looking, my husband and I researched alot of business opportunties and settled on one that was a fit for us. We have since had a few sucessful businesses.

Could you please share with us what kind ofbusiness do you do?

I started out just playing around on the computer every day, and ended up dabbling in affiliate marketing. Now, when I say dabbling, that's just what I mean. I read the sales pages of a few e-book sites, but really didn't have the money to pay for one, so I just sort of figured out what they do, and then built up my website with affiliate links from there. Back in January, I lost my father, and for a few weeks before, and after, I didn't have the time to maintain my site, so I let it go. I have since started my blogs, gotten a position as a customer service representative, and started writing for the first time since college. My business now is freelance writing, and I absolutely love it. Writing has been a hobby, and my greatest passions since I was about 10. I haven't made it "rich" yet, and I say "yet" because I have faith in myself that I can build my writing business as big as I want it, and I intend to write until I lose my fingers

Gerrard, I believe that you can do anything that you set your mind to, and if you believe that you will be successful, then you WILL be successful. If you have faith in yourself, and enough ambition, you can make your life whatever you want it to be.
