I have tried some and I've never found them to be scams. They are a great way to earn a little income, but you won't get rich from them.

I agree that forum posting can be a great income with no out of pocket expenses. It is very convenient for me as I have three children and I can work when I am able to. I usually jump on the computer while they are at school or at night while everyone is sleeping. I don't think I will become rich off this job, but I am at home anyways so why not make a little money?

I also find forum posting a good thing for me to do. I enjoy posting, so why not make some spare change off of it? I enjoy doing it. Of course I won't become rich off of it, but, it does help to add a little more money in my pocket. I could be doing something and not getting paid for it, right?

There are a lot of sites which keep advertising for forum posters. Some of them are places like digitalpoint forumboosters etc. But please do realise that this will only be extra money and not really a business. It cannot take the place of a real business, but it will help hone your writing skills.
